The Best Music School in Atlanta

Atlanta School of Musical Arts provides music lessons for kids through adults,
in all levels and in all styles.

Why Choose Atlanta School of Musical Arts?

Since 2006 we have helped hundreds of students begin and continue on their musical journey. We offer lessons for Guitar, Piano, Voice, Drums, Bass, Violin, Saxophone, Trumpet, Songwriting and Music Production. Lessons are available in our studio, in your home or online. We know that it can be very hard to find a quality and reliable music instructor. That's why we go above and beyond to find the BEST music instructors in the Atlanta area - so you don't have to!

  • Our unique approach to music lessons - We approach learning music like learning a new language. As kids we first learn how to talk and only later on we then learn how to read and write. In the Atlanta School of Musical Arts we apply that same approach by first teaching you how to play your favorite songs. As you learn more songs we will dig deeper and teach you the theory behind the music, leading to a solid musical foundation. Throughout our teaching experience we have found that our approach gets our students excited about their lessons - simply because they are having fun!
  • Learn foundational skills - We incorporate music theory, ear training and sight reading into your music lessons, right along with your new performance skills. Music lessons are taught in an innovative way to keep students learning and growing.
  • FREE music recitals twice a year! - Every parent just wants to know how their child is doing and if they are really progressing. One of the best ways for a parent to understand if their investment in music lessons is really worth it is to have their child perform in a recital. In May and December many of our students choose to perform in our biannual recitals.
  • Prizes, certificates and awards to celebrate our students' musical milestones! - At the Atlanta School of Musical Arts we have implemented a unique reward system, in which we give our students the opportunity to earn prizes, certificates, and awards for passing certain milestones on their musical journey.

My daughter has been taking Voice Lessons with Atlanta School of Musical Arts for about a year and a half now. Their customer service is exemplary! Whenever I have a question, I am always provided with a prompt response. The care that is shown to ensure that information is clearly communicated goes such a long way! My daughter’s instructor is Ann Montano. Ann is truly AMAZING and my daughter’s voice is getting stronger each lesson. Ann is very patient, caring, and an overall joy to work with! I would recommend her and the school as a whole to the entire world and beyond!

Moshe ("Mostai") Staimez has been teaching my nine-year-old son guitar for about a year and a half. He is an incredible teacher: precise yet patient and able to elicit hard work from a busy kid. He balances instruction in theory with the pleasure of playing whatever songs capture my son's imagination. In a span of months, my son was able to get over the hump of practice being a chore. Now he enjoys practicing and trying to impress Mostai, and he is a pleasure to listen to!

My kids have been going here for about 4 months for their piano lessons, I can only say it has been a great experience. The kids love it, the instructor ( Oliver ) is very professional and has a lot of patience with my kids. They love how he explain things. My kids are already playing piano by themselves.

I took guitar lessons from Mostai for about 7 months to prepare for college jazz auditions. He was well-versed in all genres and was able to instruct me in whatever direction I wanted. I came to him having learned much of music theory online through Youtube videos. He was able to direct what I had already learned and show me how to apply it in the right way. In addition, he showed me new theory but always demonstrated it in the context of a song. During those 7 months, my chord vocabulary, knowledge of scales and complex harmony, and technique all drastically improved. I wouldn’t have gotten into the music colleges I did without his help.

Our 12 year old boy has had piano classes here for over 2 years. We pay just a little more for in-house lesson which is so much worth is considering the time spend preparing and driving to the school. We've had 2 teachers throughout, and both were excellent although different at the same time. This worked out great for our student. We also have started our 8 year old in piano as well. We highly recommend Atlanta School of Musical Arts!

Got Questions? We Got Answers

Can you tell me about the qualifications and teaching approach of your music instructors?

All of our music teachers have college training, professional performance experience and teaching experience. Our music teachers are dedicated to learning about your personal musical goals and helping you to achieve them in your music lessons. With at least three music teachers for every instrument, we are confident that we have the right teacher to meet your music lesson needs. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and dedicated to teaching you the style of music that you want to learn in your music lessons.

Do you teach adults?

Absolutely! We have many adult students. It is never too late to take music lessons!

Can I start anytime?

Yes. Music lessons are offered year round. We'll prorate your first month's tuition based on the number of lessons you'll have in your first month.

Do I have to commit to a long-term contract?

No. Our lessons are month-to-month, so you only have to commit to one month of lessons at a time (one lesson each week). By committing to one month of lessons, we will be able to reserve your weekly time slot with one of our qualified instructors.

Will my lesson be on the same day and time each week?

Yes.

What types of music programs do you offer?

We offer a variety of programs tailored for all ages and skill levels, including piano, guitar, voice, drums, violin, saxophone and trumpet. We also offer lessons for songwriting, music production and home recording.

Do I need to have a CC on file?

Yes. All payments are processed by pre-authorized credit cards on the 1st of each month. The security of our clients' information is our highest priority, therefore, the billing system we use is WELLNESS LIVING, a secure and encrypted system that is trusted by thousands of businesses in the US.

Do I have to pay for each month of lessons in advance?

Yes. After your first month, recurring monthly tuition is processed every 1st of each month. Our monthly tuition is based on 4 lessons per month.

What forms of payments do you accept?

We accept credit and debit cards only. We do not accept cash or checks.

Do you offer bi-weekly lessons?

No. We offer weekly lessons only, and this is because we do not recommend lessons every 2 weeks. Due to the big gap between each lesson, students could potentially develop bad habits, which would be harder to correct later. In addition, it is more likely that material from the previous lesson will be easily forgotten, resulting in a much slower progress overtime.
