The Best Guitar Lessons in Atlanta!

We provide guitar lessons for kids ages 8 and up through adults. Our guitar teachers teach Rock, Pop, Blues, Jazz, Metal, R&B, Country, and Classical guitar lessons on electric, acoustic and bass guitars. Beginner students can expect to work on their favorite songs using simple bass lines, chords, melodies, sight reading and theory. Our primary goal is to teach you how to play your favorite songs and we balance musicianship and fun by making sure that each lesson you are challenged with a new technical or theory concept. We use a variety of guitar method workbooks to accomplish this and encourage students to bring CDs or their iPad to their lesson to learn their favorite tunes.

Frequently Asked Questions:

WHAT DO YOU LEARN IN YOUR GUITAR LESSONS?

That question is often asked by prospective students. Our guitar teachers make it a priority to get to know you on a personal level and to become familiar with your personal musical needs and goals.

We do not treat every student the same in terms of what and how we teach.

A nine year old having their first guitar lesson will have very different needs than an adult taking up guitar for the 2nd time after having had lessons as a child.

The main reason to choose the Atlanta Musical Arts School as your music lesson provider is that we are sensitive to the fact that every student is an individual. If you enroll here for guitar lessons, we will work with you to make a plan that will fit your needs and musical preferences. At the first lesson your teacher will ask you about your favorite type of music, and set goals to help accomplish whatever musical aspirations you have for yourself or your child.

WHAT STYLES OF MUSIC DO YOU TEACH?

We teach all styles including Rock Guitar, Pop/Folk Acoustic Guitar, Classical Guitar, Country, R&B, Hip-Hop, Metal, Jazz, Blues, Funk, Gospel, and more.

ARE YOUR GUITAR INSTRUCTORS QUALIFIED?

Our guitar teachers have received their music education from prestigious institutions such as Berklee College of Music, Musicians Institute, GA State University, Emory University, Atlanta Institute of Music, and more. All of them have teaching experience, and most importantly, they have a passion for teaching. Being a musician doesn’t automatically make you a teacher–that’s why we search for those who are best qualified for mentoring our music students! Most importantly, our instructors strive to relate their teaching to each individual student’s learning style. Many of our guitar instructors have gone on performance tours across the US and overseas and have years of professional performance and teaching experience. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly, and strive to get to know each student and their parent on a personal level. We search high and low for the BEST guitar teachers in Atlanta, so you don’t have to!

DO YOU OFFER RECITALS WITH YOUR GUITAR LESSONS?

Yes! We provide our students the opportunity to perform in our recitals twice a year. Our students play everything from Beatles to Bach! Even our newest beginner students have the opportunity to perform in front of their friends and family and feel like rockstars!
